Chappy Holtzhausen creates and hand crafts unique dry herbs and spices grinder mills from wild harvested bug free indigenous South African wood. Each item is "a one of a kind" item hand crafted to bring out the best features of the piece of wood being crafted so that no two items have the exact same grain or form. The mills are fitted with the best ceramic grinding mechanism available and carry an International warranty of 25 years, backed by CrushGrind Denmark. Wooden ball point pens also form part of the product range. The pens are fitted with Swiss made Cross mechanisms. As with the grinders, each pen is uniquely crafted to suit the piece of wood being used.
Why did you choose this type of business or craft? My surname is Holtzhausen meaning (woodenhouse) it runs in my blood.
What inspires you to create and develop your product range? I love wood and to make wooden items that bring out the splendor of wood is not only rewarding it is satisfying.
How do you assure yourself of the ethics of the suppliers of your raw materials? I harvest wood myself and support harvesters that are environmental conscious.

I have standard and premium pens. Premium pens are made from very scarce hard woods while standard pens are crafted from more abundant hard woods. Spice grinders are crafted to showcase the wood being used.
