Producing one of a kind exclusive items from pure alpaca fibre is the main thrust of Helderstroom Alpacas' business in the Western Cape. Job creation is another. They have trained local ladies to hand spin pure alpaca yarn from our own herd of alpacas which is then knit and woven into unique, sometimes heirloom, pieces. Ladies knit and weave in the comfort of their own homes whilst spinning takes place in their own studio.

Their ranges include babywear and toddler clothing, women's jerseys, cardigans, ponchos as well as woven shawls, and gentlemen's sweaters, pullovers and scarves. Hats, gloves, bed socks and snoods complete their repertoire of accessories.
