Caroline McCann, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) International Relations & Law graduate chose to take a Sho’t Left in her career by taking over her family’s butchery business. It has been an interesting and sometimes rough ride for Caroline, but her indomitable spirit has seen her through to great learnings about herself, animals and humans. She now sees herself as a butcher who is passionate about good, clean and fair food for all.

Caroline is Chairman of the South African Slow Food Movement.
She has been instrumental in establishing Slow Meat SA which supports the philosophy of nose to tail meat consumption. Sidwell, the butcher who looks after their Bryanston Organic & Natural Market stall, is very helpful in supplying tips and recommendations for being more adventurous in supporting this philosophy.
