Candlemaking

Create your own candle by dipping a candle wick into molten wax.

NJ helps at the Candlemaking stall in the main tea garden area.   His gentle guidance enables children to easily master the process and leave the market eagerly clutching their treasured creation. 

Enjoy some refreshments in the tea garden while watching your child being absorbed by the art of candlemaking.

Cost: R50.00 per candle

Naledi Forge 18 & 25 August

Awarded a Master’s Degree in Sculpture by the  University of the Witwatersrand, Paola has trained and works with a team of highly skilled home-grown blacksmiths to create and produce high-end quality wrought iron custom-made products forged by fire and hammer.   Come and view her exhibition and portfolio of creations in the ancient art of smithing.   Custom made orders are welcomed.

Textile Forum 30 August to 01 September

We invite you to join us at our Conscious Living Textile Exhibition taking place from 30 August to 01 September in the auditorium foyer of the Michael Mount Waldorf School.   The market is situated in the grounds of the school.
Please join us to the opening on Thursday 30 August from 5pm to 7pm, or on one of the exhibition days which are Friday 31 August from 7.30am to 3pm and Saturday 01 September from 9am to 2pm
The exhibition aims to showcase the best in sustainable and natural fabrics and fibres including clothing, accesories, decor and homeware, fibre art and craft and Persian carpets.

Cost: Entrance free of charge

The Reckoning

Stewart Irving is no stranger to the entertainment industry, having been part of it for 42 years,   his exploits include recording, songwriting, touring, television producing and TV journalism but, without question, he is best known to South Africans for being the front man and lead vocalist of successful act, Ballyhoo, during the 80’s. Their hit, “Man on the Moon” took the country by storm and is still well-known and loved today. Hits like “Heart of Stone” and “Superstar” firmly established his solo career, securing his spot within the South African musical elite as a gifted vocalist and songwriter. He is also the leader and founder of The Reckoning.

T-shirt painting

Select from a range of original design silk screened 100% cotton T-shirts.   Enjoy the absorbing pastime of bringing the graphic to life with vivid colour.   Water based fabric paint is set by heat and should be washed in cold water for best results.

T-shirt painting is offered by Violet Moon, an eclectic stall offering original design T-shirts, sheepskin slippers and uniquely designed and painted calabash ornaments.
