Artists, Crafters & Jewellers Guild Exhibition 16 to 18 November

The Living Spirit Artists Exhibition is being held in collaboration with members of the market's Artists, Crafters & Jewellers Guild, who will be showing new and unique works depicting the theme of the exhibition.
When and Where? The exhibition is being held in the foyer of the auditorium of the Michael Mount Waldorf School.   The market is on the grounds of the school.   The official opening is on Thursday 16 November from 6pm to 8pm.  The exhibition times are Friday 17 November from 7.30am to 4pm and Saturday 18 November from 9am to 3pm.
Please accept this as an invitation to join us at the official opening and on the open days.

The Reckoning

Stewart Irving is no stranger to the entertainment industry, having been part of it for 42 years,   his exploits include recording, songwriting, touring, television producing and TV journalism but, without question, he is best known to South Africans for being the front man and lead vocalist of successful act, Ballyhoo, during the 80’s. Their hit, “Man on the Moon” took the country by storm and is still well-known and loved today. Hits like “Heart of Stone” and “Superstar” firmly established his solo career, securing his spot within the South African musical elite as a gifted vocalist and songwriter. He is also the leader and founder of The Reckoning.

Influx Music specializes in creating flawless musical ambiance for all special occassions, based in Johannesburg. Influx is a post modern and african Jazz band that provides from a duo to a 6 piece band, offering a unique and memorable musical experience. African Jazz is the root of South African music and is then fuzed into the latest top 40 hits and rearranging them into funky Jazz tunes. Influx Music has graced many festivals, Jazz clubs and stages. Their main aim is to preserve African culture and music through their own music.

Ceramic Painting

Select an item from a range of ceramic bisque ware for free style painting.   Having completed the painting the item is taken off site for glazing and firing and is available for collection on the next market day.

Ceramic painting is offered by The Sonika Collection which is a range of uniquely painted ceramic ware including crockery, tableware and Christmas tree decorations, as well as painted cushion covers and tablecloths

T-shirt painting

Select from a range of original design silk screened 100% cotton T-shirts.   Enjoy the absorbing pastime of bringing the graphic to life with vivid colour.   Water based fabric paint is set by heat and should be washed in cold water for best results.

T-shirt painting is offered by Violet Moon, an eclectic stall offering original design T-shirts, sheepskin slippers and uniquely designed and painted calabash ornaments.
