African Fantasy was established approximately 26 years ago in a garage, manufacturing belt buckles and accessories.
After a few years Jean managed to leave her day job and concentrate on manufacturing; working hard to establish a customer base at many of the local curio shops and eventually applying to the Bryanston Organic & Natural market. After being accepted Jean spent a number of years as a floating stall holder until she secured a permanent stall.
Over the years African Fantasy has been sponsored by DTI to establish markets in the U.K, Hong Kong and the USA; manufacturing jewellery made from copper and brass, which was oxidized to create a variety of colours and patterns in the material. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, manufacturing came to an end, and now Jean just trades at the market. What now makes African Fantasy's business special and attractive to customers is the friendly atmosphere of the market and the relaxed environment. Come and see at stall 17.
Jean Bowden, longtime stallholder and member of our market community, sells a wide range of accessories to her loyal customer base who regularly visit the market. From stylish leather bags to sophisticated jewellery - she has something for everyone.
